Steile hellingen en hoge toppen
Het Erzgebergte lijkt niet hoog, maar toch kom je steile hellingen tegen. De toppen van het gebergte liggen veelal boven de 800 meter. Dus schrik niet van een flinke helling als je onderweg bent. Eenmaal boven is het uitzicht er prachtig. Vakwerkhuizen en houtsnijwerk
In de kleinere plaatsjes vind je nog veel cultuurgoed. Oude, typisch Duitse vakwerkhuizen sieren het straatbeeld. Bezoek ook zeker de plaats Seiffen, wat bekend staat om het houtsnijwerk.
