Camping in Yorkshire at camping Foxholme Touring Caravan Park. This is only a campsite for adults. It lies in the middle of a forest plot and is therefore well protected from wind and it is flat. The paths are paved. The site is about 7 km from the historic market town of Helmsley on the edge of the North York Moors National Park where hiking, fishing, horseback riding, etc. are possible. The ruins of Rievaulx and Byland Abbey are a short distance away and in Pickering about 20 km away one can make a beautiful trip by steam train through the heart of the National Park. A little further is the City of York with its magnificent Minster, varied range of shops, castle museum and of course the national railway museum.
