Caravans and tents have their own place on the campsite with good facilities. The campsite is slightly sloping and for the children there are good play areas. The campsite is surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales that can be walked directly from the campsite. Also the center of Settle is within walking distance. In the center are the necessary shops, pubs and restaurants and also the golf course and the swimming pool can be reached on foot. The famous railway to Carlisle starts in Settle and then rises more than 300m between the valleys of the Ribble and the Eden. In Ribbledale a huge viaduct has been built to keep the railway at a certain level.
