It is located in the middle of Bishopdale which is part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is only 2.5 km from the waterfalls of Aysgarth and is surrounded by relaxing meadows. From the campsite you have a beautiful view over the valleys and hills beyond. Such a real rural environment with beautiful views is nowadays not so common anymore. This is only possible because the site has long been owned and managed with the utmost care. Because it is somewhat remote, it is wise to have some food. Next to the campsite is an Inn, where you can go for a drink, but also for lunch or dinner. It is quite nice to walk the 0.5 km to Thoralby. It is a quiet farming community in the Yorkshire Dales and is a picturesque village with a shop, post office and pub. At 2.5 km West Burton is what is described as one of the most beautiful villages in England. Everything is arranged around the green.
