Gate House Wood Touring Park is a small campsite sheltered in an old quarry. The toilet block is centrally located on the campsite and is well cared for. In the summer this camp site may have caused a withered lawn due to the very sheltered location, pleasant temperature and dry soil. The site is located in the county of Kent and is a good base for visiting the historic town of Rochester (Charles Dickens) with its cathedral, shops and its 33-meter-high castle. Maidstone, Leeds Castle are also within reach of this site. For the children there is in the vicinity of this campsite The Hop Farm Family Park and Kent Live. From the village the train takes you in 45 minutes in London. For the racing enthusiasts there is the Brands Hatch racing circuit. This is near the campsite.
