Camping Kittilä consists of a grassy area on the banks of the fast flowing river Tornio. The campground has been partially revitalized, but the toilet accommodation is not yet. this is still very simple and minimal at the moment. Kittilä is a vast village with a hotel, a white-yellow wooden church, some schools and friendly houses. In the distance on the other side of a lake, dark blue hills stand out against the horizon. A not too good road of 21 km leads to the 805 m high Pallastunturi, a winter sports area with a tourist hotel. To the north is the 723 m high Ounastunturi.
