Camping Bergesruh in the town of Illhof near Eckental is located 20 kilometers east of Nuremberg, not far from the A3 (Würzburg-Nuremberg) and only 6 km from the A9. The campsite has 100 places, 15 of which are for tourists or people who want to spend the night not too far from the Autobahn (A3, exit 85, 10 km).
The campsite has a somewhat sloping terrain, terraced pitches here and there and is located in a very beautiful and wooded area. In this part of Bavaria you will find a quieter place! You will not hear any traffic noise or any noise whatsoever. Maybe some bird chirping! The view from some places on the campsite is breathtaking!
Camping Bergesruh is quite high, hence the name, but is nevertheless easily accessible. The sanitary facilities are excellent and well maintained. The campsite has a playground with wooden toys. The campsite is located on the site of a former farm and exudes the typical atmosphere of a farm campsite.
At the campsite you will find a sign with a variety of walks. A very special walk is the "Bier Wanderung", a tour of 10 kilometers along five beer breweries. Especially suitable for groups.
The area is also suitable for cycling trips, but then you should not worry about sloping terrain. Trips are possible to historic cities such as Lauf ad Pegnitz and Nuremberg. Schnaittach with Rothenberg Fortress is also interesting and you can look for fossils in Steinbruch.
