On a flat lawn under shady trees between the Diemel and the mill trench of the former landgrave mill from the 17th century and at the foot of the castle is the campsite Trendelburg.
Cycling and hiking:
The Diemel cycle path leads past the campsite. The well-developed cycle paths invite you to relax in the beautiful nature, for example to Kassel or Warburg.
In the area and in Reinhardswald there are many signposted hiking and biking trails.
Camping Trendelburg has a perfect terrain for groups. Another part of the campsite is very quiet again. An ideal campsite for hikers, cyclists, canoeists or fishermen. What could be better than watching from its own spot on the Diemel River, where regular canoes pass by.
Cooling? This is also possible in the clear water of the Diemel. In the main building are the comfortable sanitary facilities. For a snack and a drink you can go to the restaurant. Here you can smell the sandwiches that you can order every day.
