De Moezel is een populaire streek in Duitsland, en ideaal om op de fiets te verkennen. Vulkanen en kraters

Vanaf de camping kun je gemakkelijk een uitstapje maken naar de Vulkaan-Eifel in de buurt van Daun. Hier vind je op veel plaatsen uitgedoofde kraters van oude vulkanen in een prachtig groen landschap. Een bijzonder natuurverschijnsel wat je niet mag missen tijdens een kampeervakantie in de Moezel. Ondanks het bergachtige karakter kun je in de omgeving van de vulkanen prima fietstochten maken.

Wijngaarden in de Moezel

De oudste wijngaarden van Duitsland vind je in de Moezel. Uniek is dat de wijn op hellingen van soms wel 30% wordt verbouwd. Er staat zo’n 9.000 hectare aan wijngaarden, waarvan meer dan de helft wordt gebruikt voor het verbouwen van zoete witte wijn. De wijnboeren noemen zich niet voor niets de Riesling-specialisten.
