Surrounded by the Hopfenberg, the Eckberg and the Vogeler nature park in the town of Baron van Münchhausen, the camping An der Himmelspforte aan de Weser is only 1.5 km from the center of Bodenwerder. It is an ideal starting point for cycling tours. The Weser cycle path runs directly past the campsite. There is a boat ramp for people with their own boat. There is a large playground for the children.

Young and old can enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a freshly tapped regional beer or a delicious ice cream in the cozy café or on the terrace with "Weser view".

Cycling and walking
Camping an der Himmelspforte is the starting point for long bike rides along the Weser. Scenic routes can be planned via various bridges and ferries.

There are also signposted hiking trails for exploring the Weserbergland on foot. Near the camping site and the "Köterberg", the tourist will find various Nordic walking routes - for beginners and advanced.

Experience an active holiday
There is much to experience in the Weserbergland for young and old. To the south, Höxter awaits with the Corvey Monastery and its historic Old Town and to the north, the Baron von Münchhausenstad and the town of Hameln of the Pied Piper of Hameln.
