Camping Oase is located on the banks of the Werra River. The Werra marked here until 1989 the boundary between the former (west) Germany and the GDR. In the area you can still find many traces of the division between East and West (border museum). Just a few kilometers from the campsite is the spa town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf. A visit to Lindewerra is certainly recommended, here walking sticks are made. But also at the campsite it is great to stay in the guest house with grandma's home-baked cough!
