Campingplatz Saalburg Kloster is located on the largest reservoir in Germany. This lake is also the only reservoir in the region where motor boats are allowed. There are also sailing boats complete with guest promotion and music on board. The Saalburg area has a lot to offer in cultural history. The crowd puller of Saalburg is the annual festival: Sonne, Mond + Sterne (always the 2nd weekend of August). This techno music festival annually attracts about 50,000 people (open air).
