This beautifully located campsite with rental and hotel accommodation is located directly on the sandy beach a few hundred meters from Platamon Castle. The family goes to great lengths to make it as pleasant as possible for visitors. The pitches are well marked and there are many large deciduous trees. There are also a few places on this Greek site directly on the beach with sublime views. There is clean sanitary with hot water in the sinks and washing room. For the showers you get a key with which you can shower for 6 minutes for 0.30 Euro. Early in the spring and late in the autumn, the restaurant and supermarket are not or partially opened. That is not a problem, however, because there is always a mini-market and a restaurant open immediately outside the campsite. Between 14.00 and 17.00 most shops are closed and you will have to go to the large supermarket 4 km away Platamon. There is rental of nice terraced bungalows with spacious bathrooms and air conditioning and a private terrace. There are also apartments and a hotel with rooms with sea view. GENERAL INFO: The Venetian Castle Platamon is the border between Platamon the cozy village with shops and fishing port and the tourist village Pantaleimon. Although the campsites in Pantaleimon are strung together, there is a certain cosiness and liveliness. We made a selection. The campsites are quite small, located directly on the sea and beach and are full of beautiful trees that provide pleasant shade. Unfortunately, the Greek campers themselves do not pay much attention to this and there are quite a few who have built a plastic roof over their entire pitch. There are still plenty of beautiful places left. Striking is the absence of children's facilities, entertainment and discos. However, the beach and the clear sea are fantastic play areas for every age. There are some play attributes in these villages. The hinterland is beautiful and mountainous and invites you to make car trips. You can immediately see the famous mountain Olympus, known from mythology. It is also worth visiting the restored Palios Pantaleimones / Old Pantaleimon in the mountains. There are a lot of restaurants around the church, but the view from the terraces is great. Furthermore, this region is a good base for visiting Dion, Vergina, Tempi etc. There is good cycling on the inland roads around the campsites. To cycle from Pantaleimon to Platamon you have to go up a steep hill. This can be circumvented by walking through the old railway tunnel from the end of the bay.
