In een groot deel van kun je vanaf de camping eenvoudig een dagje ontspannen in een thermaalbad. Vooral in het Noordelijk Laagland zijn er veel thermaalbronnen. Op slechts een aantal kilometer van Eger ligt Egerszalók, waar ooit naar olie werd geboord. Tijdens het boren werden de werklui verrast door een thermaalbron die geneeskrachtig water bevat van zo’n 80 graden Celcius. Het water heeft bijzondere kalkterrassen gevormd en is uitgebouwd tot een weldadig kuurcentrum. Een aanrader wanneer je kampeert op een Hongaarse camping.Praktische informatie
Een geldig paspoort of Europese identiteitskaart is nodig. Bestuurders van motorvoertuigen moeten een geldig rijbewijs, een kentekenbewijs en een groene kaart hebben. Wanneer je met een aanhangwagen of een caravan rijdt, ben je verplicht de papieren mee te hebben. Hongarije is wel lid van de EU maar doet niet mee met de euro.
