Vassbakken Camping is very nice at an 80m high waterfall on the "55", one of Norway's most beautiful Tourist Vegen. The camp is located in the beautiful Fortundal which is the gateway to the Sognefjell Mountains in the national park Jotunheimen. The "55" leads you to a height of 1434 meters through a beautiful landscape and is the highest road in Northern Europe. At the campsite you will find a beautiful children's playground, in the immediate vicinity you can go fishing, hiking or just make some nice day trips. Furthermore, the campsite has a good restaurant and a nice kiosk. Since 2009, Vassbakken Camping also has a beautiful new youth hostel with nicely furnished rooms next to hytter. Also ideal for walkers and cyclists.
