Camping Smok-46
Keurige camping ten westen van de oude stad. Een goede uitvalsbasis om de stad te bezichtigen en Auschwitz (Oświęcim) te bezoeken.
This neat campsite is located on the northwest side of the historic city of Kraków, in southern Poland. The campsite has neat sanitary facilities, offers to many tourists a camping spot on both terraces. The upper terrace is well suited for tents and smaller caravans. If it is full up, there can still be enough caravans and campers below. The connection with the city center is excellent. By bus, 200 meters from the campsite, you are in fifteen minutes in the old center where there is a lot to see. The city has a beautiful cloth hall in the middle of the square. The many churches are usually open to the public and offer great pomp and circumstance. The facades of the houses on the Stary Rynek (old square) are worth a look at. From this campsite it is good to visit Oswiecim, better known as Auschwitz, the most notorious concentration camp from the Second World War. The concentration camp is now a museum. It consists of two parts, Auschwitz I and II, about 2 km away from each other. Those who are interested in the history of the Second World War will certainly want to see this. What one sees there is shocking for almost everyone.
