Kamperen op een camping aan de Costa de Prata kan duiden op een kampeervakantie aan de zonnige kust. Deze kuststreek loopt van Espinho (net onder Porto) tot Ericeira (net boven Lissabon).

De Costa de Prata is een boeiende streek met veel strandtoerisme en aardige plaatsen langs de kust. De kampeerder die van het strand wil genieten kan aan de kust prima een camping naar wens vinden. Verder landinwaarts kom je namelijk in een van de mooiste berggebieden van Portugal, de Serra da Estrela. Ook hier is het prima kamperen in een prachtige natuur. Nazaré is van origine een vissersdorp, hetgeen nog steeds te zien is. Maak een uitstapje naar dit dorp en zie hoe de verse vis verhandeld wordt. Bij Aveiro is een uitgebreid zoutwinningsgebied.

Meer in het binnenland vind je de bekende universiteitsstad Coimbra met het miniatuurpark Portugal dos Pequenitos. Ook kunt u een uitstapje naar de Quinta das Lagrimas (waar Inês, de vrouw van (later) koning Pedro I op last van zijn vader vermoord is), de ommuurde stad Óbidos, Alcobaça (waar de sarcofagen van Pedro en Inês liggen) of Leiria maken. Het bedevaartsoord Fátima, Batalha met zijn imposante klooster/kathedraal en Tomar met het Tempelierskasteel zijn ook zeker het bezoeken waard.
