Municipal campsite in a tourist town with a separate section for tourist camping along the river Dee. Ballater Caravan Park is divided into a section with 100 permanent annual pitches and a tourist area with 75 places. Both parts are separated by a fence. The tourist pitches, of which 52 with electricity, are situated on a level and open grass area at the back of the campsite along the river. A fence has been placed between the camp site and the river. In the middle of the site is the sanitary building and a playing field for the youth. The separate playground for the elderly is just next to the camping area. The Balmoral Castle is about 15 km in the direction of Braemar. The campsite is also a suitable location to explore the Highlands.
