The only camping for campers and caravans, where you can camp along the banks of the Loch Ness to discover the secret of the famous monster. The camping sites of Loch Ness Caravan Park are situated in two long rows on an elongated and completely gravel paved terrain between the A82 and the shore of the Loch Ness. No space is available for tents. However, from 2010 it is possible for campers with (or without) a tent to rent a "hobbit". These are round wooden sleeping cabins for up to 4 people including a refrigerator (rate 2010: from £ 35 for 2 people). The campsite also has a restaurant, bar and games room. There are three toilet blocks spread across the site. It is allowed to fish directly from the campsite in the lake. And for those who still want to discover the secret of the Loch Ness monster, it will be reassuring to know that "Nessie spotting trips" can still be made (info www.jacobite.co.uk). Furthermore, it is a friendly location to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside of the Highlands. For tourists without a camping-car, there are luxurious lodges with a view of the lake, in addition to the "hobbits".
