The interesting part of the city of Madrid is quite compact: it is located approximately between the Parque de Retiro (east), Atocha station (south), Campo Real (west) and Gran Vía (north). In this area you will find the most important buildings, museums, squares and streets. Of the museums, the most famous are the Prado and Reina Sofía, but there are many more. On the southwestern edge of central Madrid, you'll find the Rastro (a flea market, similar to the Marché aux Puces in Paris). This impressive market is a must-have experience for every camper.
