WSC Vlietland in Leidschendam has a sailing school and a port (with boat ramp) for sailing boats, sloops and motor boats. You can also bring your own boat, sailboat, canoe or surfboard. If you do not own that, you can rent it. They rent sloops for longer trips (eg for day or evening trips through the beautiful canals of Leiden), motor boats for shorter trips, but also canoes, pedaloes, rowboats and sailing boats (also evening rental). The lake has an open connection with the surrounding polders and De Vliet. This means that not only Leiden, but also the Kager Lakes are accessible. A condition is that the sailing height of your boat does not exceed 1.55 meters. WSC Vlietland organizes group programs and children's parties, as well as sailing lessons for children (from 8 years and during holiday periods) and young people. WSC Vlietland has a cozy, car-free family campsite. All pitches are equipped with electricity (6A). If you want to use the internet wirelessly (free of charge), there is a Hotspot at the reception and you can take a seat in the available space. There is a modern sanitary building with sustainable solar panels, including a family shower, washing cabins and a launderette. There is also a camping shop with a limited range of foods; in high season with dairy, meat products and fresh bread. For more shopping you are within 5 minutes in the adjacent Voorschoten.
