Ze zijn trots op de Nationale Opera van Wales, wat een van de beste operagezelschappen is. Een ander hoogtepunt is de Nationale Botanische Tuinen. Bezoek ook Snowdonia Nationaal Park of het schiereiland Gower en het 900 jaar oude kerkje van Kilgwrrwg. Vergeet onderweg niet bij een Tea Café te stoppen en te genieten van een high-tea met scones, jam en roomcrème. Kortom: het is op en top genieten. De keuken van Wales

De traditionele keuken bestaat uit kazen, Bara Brith (een fruitcake) en cawl (een rijk stoofgerecht met spek, lamsvlees, groente en prei). De leukste manier om de keuken te ontdekken is via een lokale boerenmarkt, hiervan zijn er ongeveer zevenentwintig. Op deze markten verkopen de plaatselijke boeren vers voedsel als vis en organisch vlees of zelfgemaakte confituren en chutneys.

Sport

Rugby is het meest populair in Zuid-Wales. Het Millennium Stadium in Cardiff schudt op zijn grondvesten als het nationale team speelt. Hier moet je bij zijn als je op één van de campings in Wales verblijft! Verder zijn er diverse voetbalstadions en tijdens de bouw van Wembley is de FA-cup finale in het Millennium Stadium gespeeld. Trots zijn de Welsh op de vele golfplaatsen. De golfbanen behoren tot de beste van Europa. In 2010 werd zelfs de Ryder Cup in het Celtic Manor Resort, in het zuiden, georganiseerd.

Cardiff

Campings in Wales, zijn er voldoende nabij de hoofdstad Cardiff. Er is genoeg plaats voor de tent, caravan of camper. De stad biedt een mooie afleiding van al het natuurschoon dat het land te bieden heeft. De maanden juli en augustus staan jaarlijks bol van de muziek en cultuur met het Cardiff Summer Festival. Kunst, archeologie en geologie tref je in het National Museum of Wales. Andere culturele uitstapjes zijn Castell Coch, een sprookjesachtig kasteel in de bossen, het Welsh Millenium Centre voor podiumkunst, de Riversive Farmers Market met lokale en traditionele etenswaren. In het centrum tref je de kasteelmuren van Cardiff Castle en even buiten het centrum de Llandaff Kathedral, een prachtige oude christelijke kathedraal.
